ERROR:

After installation when you go to run the program a large square that says Guitar Universal Workshop appears in the middle of the screen, but the program will not run at all.
 
Solution:
You will need to uninstall any version of Java you might have installed. (Programs such as Opera install different engines), and install the version from the Guitar CD. Please follow these instructions:

Go to: Start | Settings (miss out this step on XP) | Control Panel

Select 'Add/Remove Programs'

Look for any Java entries and remove

(Restart your computer at this point if Windows doesn't prompt you to do so)

Go to: Start | Run

With the CD in the drive, type in or browse to:

D:\j2re-1_3_1-win-i.exe (Changing D for your CD drive letter if different)

Click on OK. This should then start the Java installation.

Try the Guitar program again
